True to his education, Clayton focuses on bringing engineering and software development practices to a business context. His experiences in Computer Science as well as Accounting help to merge the mindsets of both fields and allow him to apply best practices from each in the consulting world. Clayton's primary languages would be Java as well as Javascript and HTML. Clayton has exierpences working at Ernst & Young as a Technology Consultant in their Performance Improvement - Data Architecture practice. He is currently finishing his final semester at Lehigh University before returning to Ernse & Young full-time. Clayton is passionate about public speaking, and participated in Lehigh's most recent Tedx program.
Clayton spoke at Lehigh University most recent TEDx event, focused on bridging gaps of all varities. Clayton spoke on emotional gaps, which he defines as a construct resulting from a cultural lack of introspection. He hashed out the cause of emotional gaps, attributing them largely to generational differences and the archetypes that they represent. The talk was inspired by a fellow student Royce Kok as well as Clayton's professional experience.
Clayton interned with Ernst & Young under their Performance Improvement practice. He worked with their Advisory division as a Data Architect. This was Clayton's first foray into the world of Data Architecture, and data mining. He worked to implement a level three data architecture for a very well developed company. This was an excelent opportunity to learn more about the different benefits about data management as well as large-scale project implementation. In addition to working on the ground at the client site, Clayton had the opportunity to meet many of his future coworkers on an intern trip down to Orlando. His team at that trip is depicted to the right.
Clayton worked for two years in the Office of Residence Life at Lehigh University as a Gryphon. In this capacity he engendered a welcoming and inclusive community for first year students living on campus. Encouraged identity development through a self reflection known as Blueprint. Clayton's Blueprint is here in the form of a word cloud. In his second year as a Gryphon, Clayton was responsible for 300+ first year students, and 22 student leaders within the ORL.
